Forever Free celebrates the importance of the American River to regional communities and beyond. This themed, group exhibition and related events will showcase over twenty visual, performing and literary artists who are inspired by the American River Canyons. The spirit of the exhibit is to present two and three dimensional visual art along with interactive presentations such as poetry readings, musical performances and hands-on workshops. There will also be related outdoor events such as river outings, hikes and on-site lectures and readings. The exhibit opens at 7:00pm on Saturday, February 27 with “Art Flow”, a reception for all participating artists and water blessing by Rick Adams. he Closing Reception on Friday, March 27. Exhibition and events are presented cooperatively by PlacerArts and Protect American River Canyons (PARC). Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays, Noon to 4 pm.

If you have not been in to see this wonderful exhibition this show will continue to evolve. Maija has been bringing in new work to sell as pieces are sold. Come by the gallery to see Maija's available works on paper (framed and unframed), ceramic sculptures, and paintings (small and large). There is work available in all price ranges.

Wayne Jiang came in today and dropped off a new piece titled, "Outdoor Concert". It is a beauty! Wayne was recently hailed "San Jose's Edward Hopper," on the cover of the San Jose Metro. Grab one of Wayne's works for $350-$400.

Eric Dahlin's ceramic cigars recently sold out! He did bring us 3 small raku works that are uniquely Dahlin. A raku duck named Curtis (7" x 5" x 5") $200, raku shark called Smiley (2.5" x 2.5" x 5") $100, and a very special raku dog - Dog Chasing His Tail (3.25" x 3.75" x 2.75") $75. Please come by the gallery to see these special creatures.

Solomon Dubnick Gallery has books available on artists Jian Wang, Helen Post, Alan Post, Gary Pruner and Kurt Fishback. Prices range from $10-$200.

Support the Fred Ball Memorial Fund for Artists in Crisis by making a donation in our gallery. In exchange you'll receive a special calendar created by Cheri Hacker and Stefani Thomas. These two ladies collaborated their self portrait drawings to create a fantastic calendar that will go to a good cause and keep your sweetie organized!
